No one will disagree that the past 18 months have been some of the challenging months the world has endured. Every nation has experienced various calamities, from a global pandemic, adverse weather, death of friends and loved ones, famine, loss of jobs, and the list goes on. The one thing that has not changed is that we all can rely on the promises of God. This is good news! God is faithful to every promise He has made to us. In the Book of Exodus, we read about how God kept his promise to Abraham to bring his descendant out of slavery after 400 years of bondage. (Gen. 15). We see the fulfillment of that promise in Exodus 14 when God miraculously freed over four million of Abraham's descendants from the bonds of slavery. Not only did God deliver them, but He also destroyed their oppressors. The Apostle Paul wrote to the church at Rome, "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written, “For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered. ”No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us, for I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:35-39 ESV). Whatever may be holding you in bondage, God has may a way for you to be free. Jesus took the sin, shame, guilt, addictions, sicknesses, and every evil thing that was afflicted on humanity through the disobedience of one man Adam (Romans 5:19-21 ESV) and released His righteousness on us so we can live a life full of His forgiveness, mercy, grace, and love.

Father, in Jesus' name, thank you for being faithful to your promises. You are no respecter of persons or nations; therefore, I trust you to deliver me from___________. I receive your mercy, grace, and favor over my life today.
