I get joy every time I think about what God has done for me. Before He created the heavens and the earth, He thought about me and how much he loves you and me. Everything God did, He did for us. We know how Adam sinned against God, which caused humanity to be born with a sinful nature, rebellious nature against God. Through Adam's rebellion, Satan became the God of this world, lording over man. My joy comes when I read and meditate on Romans 8:31-32. What shall we then say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Through a covenant agreement that God made with Abraham, all they had to belong to each other with nothing was withheld or off-limits. God promised Abraham that he would give him a child that would be the seed of his inheritance. That child was Isaac. Isaac did not only belong to Abraham but God, and God could take possession of him at any time. God asked Abraham to sacrifice Isaac, his beloved and promised Son. Abraham, through faith, obeyed God.
God saw through his obedience and willingness to withhold nothing from God. God was pleased with Abraham's obedience. He stopped him from sacrificing Isaac and provided a ram. Abraham's obedience opened up the door for God to offer up his Son Jesus for the sins of humanity. John 3:16-17 confirms this by saying, "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son. that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved. This is why my joy is full when I read Romans 8:31-32. Like Abraham, who was willing to give God his best, God gave us his best, Jesus. By giving us Jesus, anything we can ever need or ask was given as well. When we receive Jesus, we receive all that is in heaven. God is not withholding anything from us. We have access to every blessing in the Kingdom of God.
Father, in Jesus' name, thank you for giving us Jesus and everything that is in heaven. Health, healing, provisions, love, joy, peace, goodness, and gentleness are mines. Thank you, God, for loving me! My heart is overjoyed knowing that you are a good, good Father who delights in giving me your Kingdom.
